The situation is as follows: The following statements are executed against a SQL 2000 database that contains >1M records in the act_item table. They are run using Query Analyzer and the Duration and Reads come from SQL Profiler

Here are a few sites that I think point the way forward. That is to a visually rich world where a cooperative enterprise grows out of the web. Security Certifications
Bruce Schneier · Founder and Chief Technical Officer, Counterpane · it security
I've long been hostile to certifications -- I've met too many bad security professionals with certifications and know many excellent security professionals without certifications. But, I've come to believe that, while certifications aren't perfect, they're a decent way for a security professional to learn some of the things he's going to know, and a potential employer to assess whether a job candidate has the security expertise he's going to need to know.

Wanted: System / Network Administrator
Joel Spolsky · CEO, Fog Creek Software · Software Development
Yesterday, the net sum of what I managed to accomplish consisted, approximately, of creating one new email address. Sure, there were extenuating factors: it was the first email address on the fogcreek.de domain, the German registry doesn't understand that the order of your domain's name servers should not make any difference, it was a Bad Hayfever Day, and lots of people interrupt me all day long. And the combination of Postfix + Cyrus + ActiveDirectory authentication over LDAP is a little bit too much for my rapidly shrinking brain to handle.
